Success in Germany
"This concerns the sales in Europe and at the moment we are finishing off the season. The biggest buyers are Holland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, England and the Scandinavian countries. The sales in Germany this year have gone strikingly well. It has been going well in Holland and Belgium for a few years, but we've now noticed that the sales in Germany are in full swing, and it's all going very fast. This is a very important market for us, as it is a huge market. More was promoted there than last year. But Kanzi is also successful in Southern countries like Spain and Italy. We can confirm that the quality this season was very good. We are also well positioned throughout Europe, and everything is going according to plan. All in all we're very happy. We had an effective and efficient promotion programme. Result from the market researches just came back, and they show that name recognition increased among consumers again. So we're delighted!"

"The price level was higher compared to last year, but the apple market in general was better. At the moment there are still a number of larger sales programmes on, so the last stocks will shrink quickly: all in all, even faster than planned. The season is coming to and end. There are still some small volumes arriving from the Southern Hemisphere. Next year we expect slightly more from there. Sometimes it's a pity that it's not going faster, but everything is going according to the concept that we set up, and we want to grow within this. We have been able to sell more this year, and this reassures us that we are on the right path. As trees grow older and more fruitful, and due to new plantings, there will be more Kanzi available next season. In total we have around 1,000 growers in Europe who grow Kanzi."
