Pineapple exporter Ananas Victoria Ltd from Mauritius

The cultivation of pineapples has an important place in Camp-de-Masque PavĂ© on Mauritius. This is not only visible because of a large sculptured pineapple at the entrance of the village, but also from the large number of employees working at Ananas Victoria Ltd. This is a family company managed by the brothers Proag, whose father was one of the first large scale pineapple growers on Mauritius. Today, the company has grown and is also now established in Clemenica and St.Julien.

The brothers Proag are distinct in the pineapple world. They insist that the export is processed within 24 hours. The pineapple is cut very early in the morning. Then they are cleaned, washed and packed in various ways depending on the country of export. Finally they go to the airport in order to arrive in the country of destination the following morning.

The keywords for the Proags are profit, carefulness and precision. About 40 employees work for Ananas Victoria Ltd joint venture Exo Green Ltd. The company is GlobalGap certified because of the good quality control implemented by the company, as they are involved in the production and the processing.

In addition, efficiency is also an important keyword. In order to be in a position to offer a good quality/price comparison, many clients choose to go to the place of production. As a result the company obtains a lot of knowledge about logistics, storage and packing and because of these the pineapple can be exported even more efficiently.
