Argentina: Jacob Glueck, founder of Citromax, passed away
Last Monday the founder of Citromax SACI and one of the pioneers in the local citrus industry, Mr. Jacob Glueck, passed away.
Mr. Glueck, as he was known, was a native of Hungary and was one of the survivors of the Nazi Holocaust. He arrived in Argentina where he founded the company that his daughter is currently running. He made a great contribution to the development of the citrus industry in Tucumán.
He was a man who was known for his integrity both in his decisions and trade agreements. A man who contributed much to the citrus industry in Tucuman, despite the constant changes in Argentinean rules throughout the years.
Citromax S.A.C.I. was founded in 1964 and quickly transformed into one of the world's largest producers of lemons, juices and oils. Today, it is one of the leading companies of flavours and industrial fragrances in the world, and his daughter, Vivian, directs it.
