Fruit Logistica 2013, Hall 3.1 - Stand D-10

Turatti reinventing the future of fresh-cut with its food processing equipments

Turatti, a leading Italian company in designing and manufacturing food processing equipments with a focus on the fresh-cut and on the Ready Meals markets has been exhibiting at the show Fruit Logistica for several years to introduce its latest range of equipment.

In Hall 3.1, Stand D-10, this year Turatti will showcase the evolution of the model Camel, first introduced to the German market during the 2009 edition of the show.

Alessandro Turatti (Sales Manager of the group and President of Turatti North America - pictured), states: "This patented system, now operating in several companies worldwide, gently transports the most delicate products (fruit and vegetables) while maintaining quality levels well within the most stringent specifications. The 2013 version of the system embodies the extensive experience handling the most disparate products with different applications."

Dr. Turatti confirms that "this revolutionary design is utilizing the proven technology of the closed pipe flume concept without the use of a centrifugal pump for product movement". One of the main advantages is that "in this closed flume, the contact time with the sanitizing water solution is accurately controlled thus guaranteeing full submersion and a precise contact time. In addition, its compact design, makes it easy to retrofit existing operations with limited space, while improving the washing operations and minimizing water requirements".

In the booth will also be displayed the Spin Dryer model Nextra. The model is a fully automatic batch system designed for high capacity dewatering while maintaining gentle handling of the product. With an emphasis on simple, robust, sanitary construction, this model rapidly became the industry standard with hundreds of units operating around the world.

Alessandro Turatti takes the opportunity to make a short review about the year that just ended: "What an amazing year it has been for us the year 2012! Despite a critical overall economical situation, we had been continuing our growing trend, consolidating our presence in North America (we delivered and installed 23 complete lines, many of them for very large capacity) and we are developing business in new markets with many orders from India, China and Brazil. In addition, we installed five further large plants in Australia, where the most important companies in the sector have been customers for years."

Turatti goes on to say that "operating in highly demanding market allows us to be at the forefront. The quality of our machines is critical, their flexibility and functionality are important requirements that are appreciated by our customers all over the world. Among our most prestigious clients we are proud to list companies such as Dole, Bonduelle, Findus, Unilever, McDonalds ... just a few of the most well-known."
