Flandria is prominently present at prestigious international conventions this fall. At the VLAM-stand, traditionally beautiful presentations from Belgian top products are central.

World Food Moscow

The general food fair, World Food Moscow from the 17th-20th of September, is the reference point for businesses in the food industry within Eastern Europe. In 2011, 1,380 exhibitors from 56 countries took part. The represented eleven specialised sectors- the AGF sector being one of them. Around 55,000 people visited the convention. The convention space for fruit and vegetables was expanded this year to 6,078m², which is a good increase of 10%. VLAM is present again this year with an impressive stand that is 153m² in the fruit and vegetable hall. Flandria's large product photos attracted a lot of attention from the visitors. Participating exporters also arranged an extensive product presentation of fresh fruit and vegetable varieties. "We went all out with a conference action that will capture the Russian market in the fall," clarifies Sofie Lambrecht, product manager of fruit and vegetable at VLAM.

Fresh Summit in Anaheim (Californië)

The large American trade union PMA (Product Marketing Association) is organising its 64th 'Fresh Summit' in Anaheim (California) from the 26th to the 29th of October. Around 18,000 professionals from more than 65 countries went down to the Georgia World Congress Centre to discover the newest innovations in the vegetable and fruit world. In a convention centre of approximately 55,000 m², more than 800 participating companies presented their new products in the form of tasty snacks. "VLAM once again provided a group stand of 27 m² (stand 2539) at a nice location in the middle of the convention centre," tells Sofie Lambrecht. "The main focus this year is an original product presentation in spheres with a nice variety of Belgian Flandria products such as bell peppers, aubergine and cucumber. Top products, such as our Belgian chicory, will be getting a more prominent place."

VLAM at Fruit Attraction Madrid for first time

South European countries seem to not have a very strong presence at the Fruit Logistica in Berlin while the attention for the Fruit Attraction convention is increasing every year. This is why VLAM is organising a group stand for the first time at this relatively young convention, which will take place for the fourth time on the 24th to the 26th of October in Madrid. The convention had 561 exhibitors (from 1,127 companies) and 18,472 visitors where 3,371 foreigners from 92 countries. The total exhibition hall was increased by 27% for the 2012 edition. VLAM has a stand area of 30 m² in hall 5 (stand 5F02B). There a will be a product presentation just like the Fresh Summit.
