Uzbekistan increases fruit and vegetable exports by 13.6% in January 2026

In January 2026, Uzbekistan exported 106,800 tonnes of fruit and vegetable products, up 13.6% year-on-year, or 12,800 tonnes more than in January 2025.

According to official data, exports under the "Vegetables and Fruits" category totaled USD 102.6 million, with a growth rate of 111.9% compared with the same period last year.

The export value of fruit and vegetables reached USD 99.4 million, marking a 21.6% increase year-on-year. The sector accounted for 5.9% of Uzbekistan's total exports in January 2026.

Fruit exports rose sharply to 31,300 tonnes (USD 37.1 million), compared with 19,500 tonnes (USD 19.9 million) a year earlier. Notable product-level changes included a rise in dried grapes (to 11,100 tonnes), dried apricots (2,500 tonnes), and fresh grapes (8,400 tonnes). Pomegranate exports reached 3,200 tonnes, compared with negligible volumes a year earlier.

Vegetable exports totaled 36,700 tonnes valued at USD 14.8 million, compared with 40,900 tonnes (USD 12.6 million) in January 2025. Cabbage exports increased to 13,900 tonnes, while onion shipments declined to 13,100 tonnes from 20,400 tonnes a year earlier.

Shipments of legumes remained stable, while exports of peanuts and nuts slightly decreased in volume terms. Exports of mung beans (mash) more than doubled year-on-year, reaching 9,400 tonnes.
