As previously announced, current director Christian Sohm will be leaving SWISSCOFEL at the end of February 2026 to pursue a new professional challenge. The Swisscofel Executive Board's selection committee has held intensive discussions and interviews over the past few weeks and is delighted to present Andreas Allenspach as the new director of Swisscofel.
Andreas Allenspach, born in 1970, is already very well integrated and involved in both the sector and the association. In addition to his many years of service at Migros and Coop, as well as other Swisscofel members, Andreas Allenspach is a long-standing and valued member of the board of directors, most recently as vice president. He has extensive professional and management experience and brings with him the necessary knowledge and understanding of the sector, Swisscofel writes in a statement.

Andreas Allenspach will start at Swisscofel at the beginning of January 2026 and will be given an intensive introduction by Christian Sohm during his first month. On February 1, 2026, Andreas Allenspach will then take over the reins from Christian Sohm, who will remain available in the background to provide support until the end of February.
"The selection committee and the board, which unanimously elected Andreas Allenspach on Friday, November 28, 2025, are convinced that Andreas will continue SWISSCOFEL's successful course as its new director. We will inform you in due course about the vacancy in the position of vice president," the statement continues.
