The 2024/2025 season marks a record high for Spanish cucumber exports in both volume and value, according to Hortoinfo data from Estacom (Icex-Tax Agency) for TARIC code 0707.
Between September 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025, Spain exported 785.65 million kilograms of cucumbers. The average selling price was €1.39 per kilogram, resulting in total revenue of €1,094.17 million.
Nearly half of the exported cucumbers went to Germany. The German market imported 45.8% of the total volume, totaling 354.19 million kilos, a 40.05% increase over the past decade.
The United Kingdom remained the second-largest destination, purchasing 101.6 million kilos, which accounts for 12.93% of total exports. Its imports have grown by 21.81% compared to ten years ago.
The Netherlands ranked third with 68.09 million kilos and an 8.67% share, although its purchases have decreased by 21.96% since the 2015/2016 season.
France ranked fourth, with 59.98 million kilos sold, accounting for 7.64% of exports, and a 10.37% increase over the past decade. The Czech Republic rounded out the top five buyers with 33.54 million kilos, showing notable growth compared to the 2015/2016 season.
Revenue from these sales also reached a record high, totaling €1,094.17 million. Germany led in revenue with €481.49 million and an average price of €1.36/kg.
It was followed by the United Kingdom with €162.2 million and the highest price among main destinations (€1.60/kg). The Netherlands ranked third in value with €91.36 million and an average price of €1.34/kg.
France followed with €71.07 million and an average price of €1.18/kg, while the Czech Republic paid out €42.32 million at an average of €1.26/kg.
