DP World San Antonio expects to move over 12.8 million cherry boxes in the 2025-2026 season

Looking ahead to the 2026 Chinese New Year, which falls on Tuesday, February 17, DP World San Antonio anticipates moving over 12.8 million cherry boxes in the 2025-2026 season. The Chinese New Year is on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The terminal has strengthened express services with shipping lines, exporters, and agencies to handle the expected increase.

"We will use our export scheduling system to streamline and speed up the entry process, improve timing, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, we will coordinate with shipping lines and transport companies to ensure timely service across the entire chain, leading to better dock and yard performance and ensuring smooth logistics operations," stated Horacio Hernández, the general manager of DP World San Antonio.

Hernández recalled that last season, the terminal doubled its cherry export volume, surpassing 12.8 million boxes. He mentioned that they anticipate an even greater increase this year.

The campaign's dynamism aligns with CMA CGM's announcement of the Cherry Express 2025 service, which has a 23-day transit from DP World San Antonio to Shanghai. The schedule includes eight calls at the terminal: November 28, December 5, 12, 19, and 26 of 2025; and January 2, 9, and 16 of 2026.
