Influencers experience the sweet side of harvest with Autumn Glory apples

Superfresh Growers® welcomed Tom and Rachael Sullivan, the creators of platforms @MealsSheEats and @RachSullivan, to the Yakima Valley this fall for a look at the journey of Autumn Glory® apples from orchard to table. The husband-and-wife duo spent three days exploring the orchards and packing houses, meeting growers and farmworkers, and learning about the sustainable practices that bring this sweet apple to life.

The couple's brand, Meals She Eats, shows how food can bring people together through care, creativity, community, and healing. Autumn Glory apples are known for their sweet flavor with notes of caramel and cinnamon, making them a seasonal favorite among apple fans. During their visit, they witnessed the care that goes into every step of the growing process, from bloom to harvest.

"Seeing where our food comes from always changes the way we cook with it," said the couple. "Meeting the growers and learning about how much time and heart go into the apples we fell in love with two years ago made us even more excited to create recipes that do them justice."

This experience led to a one-night-only "Cook & Dine with Tom & Rach Sullivan" event at Provisions Restaurant and Market, a Yakima local restaurant. Guests joined the duo for a private cooking class and a seasonal four-course dinner featuring the company's pears and apples, including Autumn Glory, in every dish, all of which were from their second cookbook, "Honey, What Do We Got?"

"Collaborations like this bring our orchards to life in a new way," said Julieta Castillo, marketing coordinator at Superfresh Growers. "Their storytelling helps connect consumers to the real people and care behind every piece of fruit, while showing just how versatile Autumn Glory can be. As more people turn to whole foods for their natural healing properties, it's important to inspire them with delicious, approachable ways to enjoy fresh fruit while teaching them where their food comes from."

Following the event, the couple will share their Autumn Glory harvest journey with their 3.5 million followers across social media, featuring behind-the-scenes content, orchard footage, and new recipes inspired by their experience.
