Egypt exported more than 150,000 tons of fresh produce during the week of 18–24 October, according to the 39th weekly report for 2025 issued by the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA).
The shipments were supplied by 1,355 Egyptian companies and included various fruit and vegetable products. Sweet potatoes led the list with 12,000 tons, followed by frozen vegetables at 10,000 tons and beans at 6,000 tons.
Among fruit exports, pomegranates ranked first with 16,000 tons across 35 varieties, followed by mangoes at 6,000 tons and strawberries also at 6,000 tons.
According to the NFSA, these exports were shipped to more than 193 countries, with the United Kingdom, Yemen, Syria, and Sudan among the leading destinations.
