Siropack strikes another important business deal, this time in the Balkans. The company from Cesenatico (Forlì-Cesena), which manufactures machines and software for food and pharmaceutical packaging, has, in fact, made official the granting of a multi-year exclusive licence for the patented "RESPECT" technology for tray edge treatment. The licence is valid in Greece, Bulgaria, and Turkey, and was granted to the Athens-based company Palamidis.

Palamidis, which was founded in 1947, is an industrial group active in two main vertical markets: cookware and packaging materials. The company has three production plants and a sales network spanning more than 30 countries. Pal Packaging manufactures and supplies packaging materials for the food industry and supermarkets throughout Europe. Its portfolio includes XPS and PET products such as trays and containers, as well as rigid films for thermoforming.
The exclusive agreement was achieved directly by Siropack owners Rocco De Lucia and Barbara Burioli with Palamidis chief operating officer Andrew Palamidis and chief commercial officer Christos Palamidis.

This agreement is an excellent business card for the K fair in Düsseldorf, where we will be showcasing our RESPECT S88 machine in operation in Hall 3/B72 from 8 to 15 October."

Thanks to a special treatment on tray edges, the internationally-patented RESPECT technology makes it possible to obtain the world's first tray with a tamper evident anti-counterfeiting element, which also guarantees perfect sealing on single-material r-PET trays at even lower temperatures and times than with PET/PE containers, not to mention the certified benefits in terms of food safety, improved productivity, sustainability, recyclability, circularity, maintenance of product flatness and freshness, as well as the possibility of checking the correct sealing of the tray thanks to the presence of luminophores in the glue spread on the rim, which is also recyclable.
