Since joining the company in 2016, Jiunn set out with the goal of doubling sales and building a world-class brand in a commoditised category. Together with the Zespri team, he achieved far more than that, more than doubling sales to over NZ$5 billion (US$3.05 billion), establishing Zespri as the number one fruit brand across 15 core markets, and embedding sustainability into the core of the business strategy. These efforts contributed to significant growth in grower returns.

Along the way, Jiunn embraced professional growth, expanding beyond his role as Chief Marketing Officer to lead corporate strategy, innovation, and sustainability. Through this journey, he also gained greater clarity of purpose: to build brands and businesses that benefit both people and the planet.
What he will cherish most, however, are the people, growers, colleagues, and partners, whose passion and belief made the journey so meaningful. Their support and inspiration helped shape him into a stronger leader, friend, and person.
Jiunn leaves Zespri with deep gratitude and pride in all that was accomplished together, and now plans to take a few weeks to decompress before beginning a new chapter in September.
