Hugo Beck names third-generation managing directors

Hugo Beck, a manufacturer of horizontal packaging machines, has appointed Simon Beck and Jonas Beck as Managing Directors. As grandsons of company founder Hugo Beck, their appointments mark the continuation of family leadership into the third generation.

The leadership change follows the departure of Timo Kollmann, who leaves after 20 years with the company to pursue a new professional opportunity. During his tenure, Kollmann contributed to innovation and the company's market development. "After many fulfilling years in the management of Hugo Beck, I've decided to take on a new professional challenge," he stated. "I'm confident the company is in excellent hands with the continued leadership of the Beck family."

Curt-Juergen Raiser will continue in his role as Managing Director until his planned retirement in October 2025. With nearly three decades at the company, Raiser's experience is expected to support a stable transition over the coming year.

The company, founded in 1955, has developed from a mechanical workshop into a supplier of packaging and automation systems. Its equipment is used internationally across various industries for film and paper packaging applications.

Simon Beck, who has been with the company for six years, will oversee technical operations. His previous role as Head of Production and Authorised Signatory involved responsibilities in packaging machine design and process optimisation. He holds a degree in industrial engineering and management and previously worked as an assembly manager.

Jonas Beck joined the company in January 2025 and will oversee commercial operations. He also holds a background in industrial engineering and management, with previous experience in logistics, controlling, and process management. His role focuses on aligning business strategy with market demand.

In a joint statement, Simon and Jonas Beck acknowledged the contributions of both Kollmann and Raiser. They noted that the company's next phase will involve adapting to industry developments while maintaining focus on engineering and customer collaboration.

The transition marks a new phase in the company's leadership while maintaining its continuity as a family-run business.
