Serbia gains green light for blueberry exports to China

China has authorized the importation of fresh blueberries from Serbia that comply with specific standards, as stated by China's General Administration of Customs. This development occurred during the visit of China's top leader to Serbia, aiming to further enhance the China-Serbia comprehensive strategic partnership. This partnership, established eight years ago, marked Serbia as China's first comprehensive strategic partner in the Central and Eastern European region.

Within the framework of this partnership, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China and Serbian government agencies have signed agreements focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative, green development, and the digital economy. A notable agreement includes a Memorandum of Understanding for BRI cooperation, aiming to create a working mechanism for its implementation. Furthermore, the two nations have committed to cooperation in environmental protection and the digital transformation of traditional industries, highlighting the importance of green development and digitalization.
