The Fresca Group has published its annual results for the fiscal year 2022-2023. Commenting on the performance over the prior year, CEO Martyn Fletcher said: “We’re delighted to report solid sales growth of 7.9% to £459m, and an increase in EBITDA from £9.7m last year to £12.9m, in what has been another testing year for both society and the economy.”
“We invested significantly across the year - in automation, to reduce our reliance on labour and the associated costs, and also in energy efficiency projects to lessen the impact of rising charges. These investments have substantially contributed to delivering a profit performance and was a key factor in our overall result.”
Speaking of the current trading year, Fletcher referenced Fresca’s continued investment strategy, saying “We are making a number of significant capital investments to reinforce our product quality and service credentials to continue to satisfy our customer’s requirements. These will also increase capacity within some of our businesses, drive efficiencies and develop the overall business further in the years ahead.”
He concluded “Behind every great business are great people. The continuous improvement mindset of all our colleagues, and the culture of doing business the right way is at the heart of everything we do. The board would like to thank all of our colleagues for their tremendous efforts over the last 12 months.”
