Peruvian fruit exports registered shipments to 93 international markets and sales reached USD 4.806 million in 2022. This allowed Peru to be positioned as one of the main food supplying countries in the world, according to the report Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation. The products with the greatest demand were fresh cranberries, fresh grapes, avocados, fresh mangoes, other citrus fruits, frozen mangoes, other fruits and other uncooked or cooked fruits, bananas including plantains, other fresh fruits, frozen strawberries, that were located as the main items in the export ranking.
The most important nations as destinations for Peruvian fruits were the United States, the Netherlands, China, England, Spain, Hong Kong, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, and Chile, which had a share of 89,7% of the total value exported. The United States and the Netherlands account for 61,5% of fruit shipments.
