Strikes called on 20 and 21 April

Announced strike action in Germany

A. P. Moller – Maersk has issued a press release, stating:

A. P. Moller – Maersk would like to make you aware of the announced strike actions across German airports and railways. The trade union Ver.di called for strikes on 20 and 21 April for workers in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Cologne airports, while rail workers’ union EVG announced a day-long strike action on 21 April. Both strike actions are set to cause disruptions across rail and air network.

Our planners are working closely with the rail and air freight operators every day to understand the overall impact this will have on our operations, and we will communicate any changes in schedules as soon as more information becomes available. Maersk teams continue to focus on minimising the impact to our customers and maintaining the flow of cargo within operational feasibility. In case of impact or delays to your cargo, your dedicated Customer Experience representative will be in touch as your booking is updated.

We would like to thank you for your trust and understanding during this time, while we remain committed to providing you the information needed to manage your supply chain. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your usual contact.
