Scales Corporation dividend split in three parts due to:

Unprecedented delay in apple sales season for Mr Apple in New Zealand

The unprecedented delay in the apple sales season for NZ apple grower Scales Corporation Limited, led them to declare a cash dividend for 2022 that will be split in three parts.

The first 6.0 cents per share will be paid on 16 January 2023 while the second and third will be announced and paid at later dates. In a guidance note directors of the company state they are committed to paying no less than 19 cents per share with profit of a range of NZ$23.5 million to $28.5 million achievable.

A further update will follow in February 2023 with apple volumes to be in line with 2021 levels. Their key markets of China and Europe are expected to perform as usual near pre-Covid levels.
