Early-ripening Fuji apple market declines

Recently, there has been news about the price reduction of early-ripening Fuji and Huaniu apples in Shaanxi, Shandong, Gansu and other production areas. The same reason for the decline in prices in various places is the increase in harvest volume and the end of the Mid-Autumn Festival stocking, but the price fluctuations in various places are a little bit different.

As far as the Shandong production area is concerned, customers are gradually becoming more cautious. Judging from the current overall transaction price, regardless of whether the Hongjiangjun or the late-ripening Fuji is in stock, they are mostly concentrated in the supply of about 7 RMB/kg.

The main reason for the drop in the price of apples in the origin is that firstly, the volume of harvests has increased, and secondly, the Mid-Autumn Festival stocking has basically ended. Here, the price of early-ripening Fuji was high in the early stage, and there was a certain loss in the Gala market recently, so the merchants were cautious. At the same time, the cold storage of Gala has increased, currently occupying the same market as the early-ripening Fuji. In addition, the lack of coloring and continuous rain in some production areas led to a decline in the quality of early-ripening Fuji. Relatively speaking, the fruits in the west are relatively large, and the commodity rate is generally higher this year.

The Mid-Autumn Festival preparation is coming to an end, and the volume of early-ripening Fuji apples on the market will gradually increase. In the absence of a holiday boost and apples from the eastern and western production areas will be on the market in a concentrated manner, the price of early-ripening Fuji may decline.
