In Nanyue, pineapples, one of the earliest fruits to mature and list on the market, has begun to shine again in the "Sea of Pineapples". Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, is the largest pineapple producing area in China, with an annual planting area of 350,000 mu (141648 hectares) and an output of about 700,000 tons. 1 in every 3 pineapples in China comes from Xuwen.

In accordance with the industry's fresh-cut fruit standards, farmers from Xuwen County sold the small pineapple to supermarkets in major cities across China after peeling, quality inspection, cleaning, saltwater soaking, draining, packaging and refrigeration. They opened the B2C market for small pineapples.
