With a new harvest of 2,000 tonnes, the new apple in the VOG assortment, is entering the Italian, Spanish and selected European markets.
With a harvest of 2,000 tonnes, Giga® by Marlene® is entering markets in Europe with a special focus on Italy and Spain. From the third week of March, the new apple produced by the VOG Consortium will arrive in large-scale distribution outlets and selected fruit markets with a sales campaign lasting around three months.
The VOG Consortium reports excellent harvest quality for an apple with unusual characteristics. Giga is a large-sized – 75/85 mm on average –, two-tone apple with reddish shades on a yellow background. It has an excellent crunchy texture and is intensely aromatic.
