Onubafruit acquired a 65-hectare farm in Huelva
Onubafruit has acquired 65 hectares of a farm located in the El Canario area that the Bonafrú cooperative bought in 2016. The lands are in the municipalities of Lepe and Villablanca and represent a new patrimonial asset for the cooperative group.
A strategic action that implies a significant economic investment and that highlights the solidity of the Onubafruit project. This purchase consolidates the union of its members, who will now share a common productive land, and strengthens their assets.
Onubafruit has various improvement programs and projects with which it seeks to create exclusive varieties that it will produce in this new land. The varieties will have the flavor, color, size, postharvest, and productive yield necessary to guarantee the viability of the crop.
This purchase also seeks effective participation in the social life of Onubafruit partners, understanding that true development goes far beyond production and consumption, always trying to maintain the benefit for the farmers and the place where they develop their activity.
