The Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique at the Tour de France

Since 2019, the Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique benefits from the status of official banana of the Tour de France.

As the only agricultural partner of the event, it will bring smiles and energy to the 184 participants and with them, it will travel through France, from Brest to Paris.

The distribution of bananas of Guadeloupe & Martinique to the    participants at the finish: an event that is highly anticipated          and much appreciated by the participants.

Thanks to dedicated logistics, the ripening stations of the Fruidor/Murissol network will contribute to the success of these events by supplying over 15 tons of French bananas in total.

The Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique organizes the event “kilometer 97”
The Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique is repeating its act of charity and solidarity with its “km 97” event. This year, it will be held at stage 6: Tours-Châteauroux in the town of Ecueillé, located at 97 km from the start. The name of the event, “km 97”, is a wink to the departments where the French banana comes from: Guadeloupe (971) and Martinique (972).

With its 1,200 inhabitants, Ecueillé will celebrate the passage of the participants and welcome the “km 97” in the colors of the Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique and a Caribbean atmosphere.

This year, “km 97” will support the Restos du Coeur charity
The goal of this operation of solidarity is to collect the most bananas possible among participants, the public and internet users for the benefit of the Restos du Coeur.

Different tools will be used to reach this objective: Instagram live, photo animation, etc ..

The Tour de France will also be an opportunity for the Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique to continue the deployment of its brand-new communication campaign: at retail points through a big multi-brand game and daily on social networks Facebook and Instagram.
