Over the past few weeks, ISI Sementi obtained the GSPP certification, an acronym of Good Seed and Plant Practices: it is the hygiene and prevention system against Clavibacter michiganensis spp. michiganensis applied to the production of tomato seeds.
"We are particularly proud of it, as we are the first Italian company to obtain this prestigious certification within a small group of international companies. To us, it is an essential step to improve the quality of our products and the service provided to our clients," explains Angelo Boni, president of ISI Sementi.
The standard is based on the most advanced knowledge and the application of strict standards throughout the production, processing and commercialization processes, which are periodically verified by independent audits.
ISI Sementi has not only reached this important result, but it has obtained the certification for two production sites, placing the entire processing, including the priming and pilling phases, under scrutiny.
