Greenpoint Trading, in the Netherlands, has brought the new 'Avojoy' brand onto the market. The brand wholly focuses on premium avocados in the Benelux. These will be supplied to supermarkets, retailers, hospitality suppliers, wholesalers, restaurants, and the foodservice and catering sector. Westfalia will deliver these avocados. They'll be packaged and ripened by Eurowest. Along with these partners, Avojoy will provide year-round, premium avocados. Greenpoint will take care of sales and distribution in the Benelux.
Avojoy's Hass avocados undergo stringent quality controls. The brand's own quality inspectors check these avocados individually multiple times. That happens in both their country of origin and the ripening and packing plant in Poeldijk, the Netherlands. The avocados are then ripened, based on the client's wishes. The avocados are stored in a warehouse in De Lier, a stone's throw from the ripening facility. When the avocados pass their final quality control, they're personally delivered from there to clients.
