“The weather in Hainan has been dry this year. The rainy season came about a month later than in previous years. So far, the weather conditions have had little effect on the growth of mangoes. Thanks to its unique geographical advantages, varieties from Hainan can be supplied successively and the total supply period is much longer than other production areas,” Yu Yanhuang of Sanya Xianguo Jiayuan Agriculture Co., Ltd. shared.

“Compared with the same period of last year, the current market price of mangoes from Hainan has declined slightly. Mangoes here are grown during the other producing areas’ off-season and are available from January to June each year. The growing and production seasons can be adjusted by growers. This year's supply period is more or less over by now. In general, despite the influence of poor sales in the fruit market as a whole, the sales of our mangoes are rather stable."

"The typhoon weather that occurs between July and October has the greatest impact on the growth of our mangoes. Currently, the new crop is still in its growing stage and it is too early to predict the production."
