"The person's pretending to be a buyer from Denner"

StC International warns of a conman

The Dutch company, StC International, wants to warn their fruit and vegetable sector colleagues about a fraudster.

"We were approached by someone via email. They are pretending to be a buyer from the company, "Denner" - A Mr C.Gerber. We were suspicious, so we contacted Denner. After verification, it seems that Mr Gerber does, indeed, work at the company. He is, however, not responsible for anything fruit or vegetable-related," says Maurice Langeslag. "What is strange in this case is that the person has a German telephone number. But it is a Swiss business. It is easy to get credit insurance for this company. So, please be careful."
