Mercadona doubles the sale of Spanish orange juice

The Valencian retail chain Mercadona has doubled the sale of Hacendado-branded orange juice thanks to improvements in its manufacturing process.

Supplier Totaler J. García Carrión, which produces the juice at its facilities in Villanueva de los Castillejos, Huelva, has introduced an innovation in juice production by improving the pasteurization system, thus helping to preserve the qualities of the fruit and the final product.

The company has also increased the production of this juice in order to guarantee its supply, as the demand has grown. The main reasons for this improvement are the temporary cessation of the freshly squeezed orange juice service and the health benefits attributed to this drink, rich in citrates and a source of vitamin C.
