Eroski has expanded its online order delivery methods with new smart locker technology. The lockers have been installed in the company’s Arrasate-Mondragón hypermarket. The new system pioneers the distribution throughout Basque country and strengthens Eroski’s position within the market by expanding online order collection points throughout the community.
The new service is free and helps to facilitate the collection of online purchases without waiting. Orders can now be completed and delivered within four hours.
The lockers are suitable for all types of products, with areas for refrigerated, frozen and room temperature products, thus guaranteeing the adequate preservation of food.
The use of this new service is very simple. When the customer places their order online, they must select the locker option and choose the day and time slot when they wish to pick up their purchases. When the order is ready, you receive a message via SMS to notify you that it is already available and that it can be withdrawn by entering a given code on the locker's touch screen.
