Weather conditions affect operations at terminal facilities in the port of Hamburg

The continuing stormy weather is currently causing considerable delays in ship clearance in most of the north-European ports. As a result, there are delays in the arrival of ships in the port of Hamburg. HHLA Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) is particularly affected.

HHLA is working within the bounds of its possibilities on solutions to keep operations up and running in order to minimize the impact on customers. Delivery of export containers by truck have been temporarily restricted because the storage capacity at all three HHLA terminals has already been significantly exceeded. Up-to-date information on the arrival of the affected ocean-going vessels is regularly communicated to forwarders and truck drivers.
