Fresh4U based in the Western International Market in London, specialises in exotic fruit and vegetables which are becoming increasingly popular as many products previously considered exotic have become mainstream produce. There are new products being introduced every year which the company sources as per customer tastes.
“Traditionally it was ethnic groups who purchased exotic produce, these have become more mainstream,” explains Hatim Raja, Sales Director. “Especially Asian veg is now found in most supermarkets and so is produce of African origin this due to improved year round availability, reasonable prices and increase in customer uptake.”
Sweet potatoes and Tenderstem broccoli have seen exponential growth over the years with still a lot of upside for growth according to Hatim.
“We are a one stop shop for all exotic veg, sourcing from over 25 countries and maintain supply throughout the year, we supply wholesale, retail, secondary importers and re-packers. By exhibiting at Fruit Logistica we are looking to meet new suppliers, customers, recruit staff for sales and liaise with existing relationships.
