But Swiss pear stocks are bigger

Significantly fewer dessert apples than last year

The Swiss dessert apple supply was at 59,369 t at the end of October. This is 6,984 t less than in the previous year, 15,174 t more than in 2017 and 327 t more than in 2016.

Compared to the five-year average of the October stocks, the stock level was 143 t lower by the end of October 2019. Effective stock numbers will be collected anew at the end of November.

At the end of October, the pear stocks at 12,310 t were 1,005 t higher than in 2018 and 8,151 t above the year 2017. The target stock of 11,000 t was exceeded at 1,310 t.

At the end of October, around 3,364 t of organic apples were in the stores. This is over 1,600 t less than the end of October 2018.
