Ivory Coast and Senegal, big buyers of Dutch onions in week 40

The Dutch onion export up to week 40 has surpassed the exports of the past two years. This is evident from the export figures from KCB and GroentenFruit Huis. In week 40, 24,092 tonnes of onions were exported. In total, exports up to week 40 amounted to 316,558 tons. In 2018, it was 298,277 tons in the same period and in 2017, 310,390 tons of onions were exported during these weeks.

Wholesale customers in week 40, were Ivory Coast with 4,669 tonnes and Senegal with 3,615 tonnes. Guinea (1,724 tons), Malaysia (1,627 tons) Great Britain (1,374 tons), Thailand (1,300 tons) and Sri Lanka (1,265 tons) also knew what to do with Dutch onions.
