Price of Chinese bananas dropped slightly after holiday season, but remains stable

The average price of good-quality bananas in Chinese production areas was around 3.80 yuan [0.53 USD] per kg after the Mid-Autumn Festival [September 13, 2019]. The overall market price is stable. The price of bananas is stable in most of Guangxi, but dropped slightly in Longzhou because labor supply was scarce.

The price also dropped slightly in Yangjiang, Guangdong, after the holiday concluded. However, the influence of the Mid-Autumn festival was minimal. The price remained stable in other banana production areas in Guangdong. Meanwhile in Hainan, the price decreased somewhat because supply is small and fewer traders come to visit. The supply volume in Yunnan is also small, but there the price remained stable.
