The wait is almost over. In less than a week, SUNSET® will reveal the six new berries that make up their new line-up of WOW™ berries. True to WOW’s new tagline, Berries Elevated™, this premium line promises to change expectations for how a berry should taste. The company asserts that each of the six WOW berries, which includes three unique varieties of strawberries plus a raspberry, a blackberry and a blueberry variety, has its own distinct flavor notes.
Barely out of the gate, WOW berries are already turning heads. lolliberry™, a candy-sweet strawberry with a fragrant aroma, is among the WOW berries that recently received the prestigious Superior Taste Award from the International Taste Institute in Belgium. The Institute’s jury is composed of prestigious chefs and professional taste experts. Products are blind-tested and evaluated on several factors, including appearance, aroma, texture and taste.
When asked about his favorite variety, Mastronardi Produce President and CEO Paul Mastronardi, the fourth-generation family member to lead the company, said. “I love them all.There is a variety for everyone—for every mood and occasion.”
While he may be keeping his favorite berry close to his vest, Mastronardi is excited to share the full line of WOW with the world.
