Spain: 3,000 tons of Malaga-grown mangoes available at Mercadona

This year, Mercadona has been marketing mangoes from the province of Malaga in its stores in the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. The retailer closed this last campaign with the purchase of more than 3,000 tons of mangoes from suppliers from Malaga, 30% more than in the previous season.

The supermarket chain has thus acquired mangoes from its integrated supplier Frutas Montosa, based in the municipality of Cajiz, in Malaga, and from SAT Trops, Tropical Millenium, Exceltrop and Provelpack, all of them based in Vélez-Málaga.

In 2017, Mercadona made purchases from Malaga-based suppliers worth 738 million Euro, 38% more than in 2016.
