Purchasing traders have become more active in the days leading up to New Year's Day. The domestic banana wholesale price is currently 5.77 yuan [0.84 USD] per kg, which is much higher than last year's 4.16 yuan [0.60 USD] per kg.
The trade volume of bananas in the wholesale market was relatively large this week. The trade volume was 20% larger than last week. Bananas ranked fifth in the list of fruit by trade volume this week, just behind Shatang oranges, Fuji apples, Fengmi tangerines, and Hami melons.
