Chile and Brazil move forward in negotiations for new Free Trade Agreement

This Friday, October 19th, the teams of Chile and Brazil that are working on a new Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, will meet in Santiago.

The negotiations will be led by Felipe Lopeandía for Chile and Michel Arslanian for Brazil. These could be the last of the bilateral rounds necessary to create a finished agreement.

Last April President Sebastián Piñera and his Brazilian counterpart Michel Temer agreed to carry out a renewed FTA. Regarding the future and the political changes in Brazil, Chile made it clear the treaty goes beyond the current political situation.
