The jury of this national competition, which recognizes the effort, innovation, and adaptability of Spanish agri-food companies, praised the long-standing history of this Córdoba-based company, founded in 1996. Over the years, it has evolved from mainly producing selected seeds, cotton, and oilseeds to becoming Spain's leader in plant patents and patent acquisitions.

According to the jury's ruling, "Eurosemillas has consistently distinguished itself through innovation, pioneering the introduction of hybrid sunflowers, stringless beans, chemical dyeing of cotton seeds, as well as establishing the first frozen vegetable industry in Andalusia. Additionally, in recent decades, the company has helped introduce over 125 varieties of fruit trees in Spain and many other parts of the world, including strawberries, raspberries, avocados, pistachios, and mandarins."
