MSC has announced an adjustment to its Iroko service that will introduce a direct call at Cape Town. The change will create a direct link between Cape Town and several Asian ports, reducing transit times for both dry and refrigerated cargo.

The first vessel scheduled to call at Cape Town under the updated rotation is the MSC Anchorage, expected on 11–12 December 2025.

With the new call, estimated transit times from Cape Town include 15 days to Singapore, 21 days to Xiamen, 24 days to Ningbo, and 27 days to Nansha. Transshipment options remain available, with approximate connections of 28 days to Chattogram, 25 days to Shanghai, and 23 days to Port Klang.
