Italian company Rev Packaging Solutions, based in Cesena, has introduced the 6+6 Linearpack, a new linear weighing and packaging system designed for delicate products. The system is described as an evolution of the company's existing 6+6 Rotopack concept, adapting its principles of precision weighing and compact design to a linear configuration aimed at improving workflow and operator efficiency.
Company president Fabrizio Fiumana explained that the new design applies the same approach used in the Rotopack system but in a more streamlined format: "With Linearpack, we've taken the same principles and applied them to an even more streamlined line, where speed and ergonomics become the real strengths."
The 6+6 Rotopack model, known for its compact footprint of 1.5 metres, combines weighing, filling, and quality control in a confined space. Fiumana said that while Rotopack remains suited to areas with limited space, Linearpack offers a new option for higher throughput.

According to the company, the linear layout of Linearpack allows for reduced operator movement and improved ergonomics. Trays are automatically transferred to the downstream packaging line, and the configuration allows for integration with an automatic punnet denester, enabling higher production flows.

The new model maintains the same operational concept as Rotopack, focusing on optimised timing, reduced waste, and an organised working environment. The system is designed for easy cleaning and sanitation, with a gentle weighing mechanism suitable for a range of products.

Fiumana noted that Linearpack aims to maintain high weighing precision while improving operator comfort and production speed, expanding the company's range of compact, semi-automatic weighing and packing solutions for the fresh produce industry.
