Morocco exported 64,400 metric tons of fresh raspberries in the 2024/25 season (July–June), generating US$487 million in revenue, according to EastFruit. This represents a 13.8% increase compared to the previous season and exceeds the 2022/23 record by 9%.
Raspberries remain one of Morocco's most important fresh produce exports, second only to tomatoes in terms of export value in 2024. The raspberry export season runs almost year-round, with peak volumes shipped between November and May. April recorded the highest monthly export volume, with over 10,000 tons shipped.
The United Kingdom continues to be the leading destination, taking more than 30% of Morocco's raspberry exports. Since 2022/23, Morocco has been the top supplier of raspberries to the UK. Spain and the Netherlands follow with shares of 23.4% and 18.4%, respectively, while Germany accounted for 13.6% and France 7.9%. These five countries together represented 94.4% of total exports. All recorded higher import volumes in the latest season.
Morocco has also expanded its raspberry export destinations. A total of 3,500 tons were shipped to other markets in 2024/25, a 60% increase over the previous season. Exports to the Middle East increased, shipments to Belgium rose 2.5 times, and for the second consecutive season, raspberries were exported to Austria and Switzerland. Trial batches also reached Romania and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
In total, Moroccan raspberries were exported to 26 countries during the 2024/25 season.
