Blueberry prices in Ukraine have been rising for the third consecutive week, according to analysts from the EastFruit project. The main factor behind this upward trend is reduced supply alongside strong demand. Many growers have already finished selling early and mid-season varieties.
Producers now marketing late-season blueberries have taken the opportunity to raise prices again. Current market offers stand at UAH 170–240/kg ($4.12–5.82/kg), averaging 14% higher than the previous week.
On average, blueberries in Ukraine now cost consumers 53% more than during the same period last year. Market participants expect that prices for blueberries will continue to increase.
