Azerbaijan exported 402,397 tonnes of fruits and vegetables between January and June 2025, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the State Customs Committee. Export value rose 24.3% year-on-year, reaching USD 415.75 million, with fresh produce accounting for 3.23% of the country's total exports (up from 2.59% in H1 2024).
Imports of fruits and vegetables also increased, reaching 239,278 tonnes (+7.1%) worth USD 178.81 million (+12.9%) during the same period.
Hazelnut exports showed even stronger growth. Shipments totalled 10,759 tonnes in the first six months of 2025, up 27.7% year-on-year. In value terms, exports rose 47.7% to USD 76.67 million.
