From January to May 2025, Kazakhstan exported 724 tonnes of apricots, 1.8 times more than in the same period last year. The entire volume was shipped to Russia. Plum exports rose 7.5 times to 178 tonnes, also destined for Russia.
Peach and nectarine exports grew almost 15-fold, reaching 104.9 tonnes, with shipments going to Russia and Tajikistan.
Despite the rise in exports, imports remain significantly higher. Kazakhstan imported 7,900 tonnes of peaches (+3.1 times), with China supplying 7,700 tonnes. Smaller volumes came from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Russia, Iran, Tajikistan, Chile, and South Africa.
Apricot imports grew 1.5 times to 4,100 tonnes, almost 3,000 tonnes of which came from Uzbekistan (+twofold). Other suppliers included Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Russia.
Imports of plums and sloes reached 1,200 tonnes (+0.1%), sourced from China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Russia, Chile, Azerbaijan, and South Africa.
