"Demand for and consumption of Sicilian seedless grapes is high and gaining an important market share. We have invested heavily in producing super-early seedless grapes, which are in high demand, especially in foreign markets. It's important to note that traditional grapes are in high demand in the produce section, particularly in Italy. In fact, our consumers also readily choose seedless grapes. Consider Victoria grapes, for example, which are very popular, especially when offered in pre-packaged, half-kilo packages. Most grapes are packed directly in the field after harvesting to avoid excessive handling," says Sammy Mimmo Fisicaro, owner of Colleroni, a Sicilian company operating in the province of Syracuse.
"The seedless market is responding very well thanks to the flavor and sweetness of these grapes."

State-of-the-art processing lines ensure a steady supply and efficient processes.
© COLLERONIARRA Sugar Drop has become well-established in large-scale retail markets, with demand constantly increasing. Currently, AVI has licensed over 2,000 hectares of ARRA grape cultivation throughout Europe. Italy has the largest licensed area and cultivates the most ARRA 30 grapes. Many in the industry claim that this grape is a worthy successor to the Victoria grape. It has greater berry consistency, firmness, and crispness. It offers new flavors - fruity, tropical, and exotic - that captivate refined palates.
"We have converted many traditional grape vineyards to seedless varieties. They will gradually come into production," explains Mimmo Fisicaro. "In fact, seedless varieties have responded very well to cultivation in the Sicilian environment. They have also shown great adaptability to protected cultivation for early harvesting. This is particularly true of certain varieties."

Despite the popularity of seedless grapes, traditional grapes have a strong presence on the market, particularly in Italy. Victoria grapes, in particular, are highly regarded by Italian consumers, especially when sold in one-kilogram packages. The commercial calendar for traditional Victoria and Black Magic grapes typically starts in May. These varieties are expected to be successful as there are no competing grapes from other markets expected until mid-July at the earliest. The current season for Victoria white grapes and Black Magic black grapes does not present any significant agronomic challenges. Market feedback confirms the tangible quality results. This is the result of meticulous fieldwork, extensive experience, and an understanding of the plants' needs.
All production processes are constantly monitored by the company. This includes caring for crops from the seed stage, selecting suitable land and cultivation methods, and overseeing the harvesting, packaging, and shipping processes. To ensure a continuous supply and quick processing, the fruit is processed using state-of-the-art equipment. Most grapes are packaged in the field immediately after harvesting. This approach minimizes excessive handling of the product.
The company offers a variety of packaging solutions to meet customer needs. These include heat-sealed trays, flow-pack packaging, and cardboard and plastic trays and boxes in various sizes.
