BCGA demo day returns to Norwich 2025

The British Carrot Growers Association (BCGA) is pleased to announce that its highly anticipated annual Demonstration Day will take place on Thursday, 2 October 2025, in Honingham, near Norwich.

Visitors will be able to explore over 80 field plots showcasing both established and emerging carrot varieties, offering insight into the latest breeding advancements and highlighting the diversity of the carrot sector. This year's event will also include parsnip variety trials, with approximately 10 parsnip plots on display.

A large exhibition area will provide plenty of networking opportunities with industry professionals. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be available inside the marquee.

The celebration continues on 3 October with National Carrot Day, a chance to honour the UK's carrot crop by encouraging people to buy, cook, and enjoy more carrots. The initiative aims to showcase the health benefits of carrots, their role in sustainable farming, and even their value as livestock feed. It also seeks to highlight the low financial returns growers face for this high-risk crop and the positive impact increased consumption could have on farm viability.

Carrot fans are invited to share their favourite recipes and dishes on social media using the hashtag #theloveofcarrots.

Tickets are available now via Eventbrite. Entry is free for BCGA members, while non-members can purchase tickets for £30 each.
