"The domestic table grape season officially started for us on July 10th, almost two weeks later than the previous season, which kicked off earlier than usual," says Miriam Cutillas, Sales and Marketing Director of Uvasdoce Fresh. "We are beginning with some exports and, from next week onwards, we will also get started in the domestic market."

At the moment, the company is harvesting and selling the first early seedless varieties, Mojito Fresh and Candy Snaps, which are part of the "Las Chuches de Uvasdoce" line. "The seedless white grape, Mojito Fresh, was last year's big launch for the domestic market. Its particularly refreshing flavor was a real success, and this year, for the first time, we are going to export it to the United Kingdom, where we have deals with three supermarket chains," says Miriam Cutillas.
The company's Sales Director highlights the quality of the first varieties harvested, as well as the rest of the early varieties, despite the challenging weather conditions. "This is due to our careful agronomic management, based on controlling the load per vine and an exhaustive work of selection and bunch trimming. This allows the production of homogeneous fruit with a great balance between sweetness, texture, and presentation."
This year, the company expects to produce over 8 million kilos of table grapes, which represents a 20% increase compared to last season. "We expect our volumes to continue growing at a sustained rate until 2030, with the prospect of reaching 11 million kilos next year and possibly 20 million kilos in the coming years. This growth will be mostly driven by our clients, given that the demand for table grapes continues to increase," says Miriam.
Along with this development, the company has been significantly expanding its facilities, incorporating two new fully automated and robotized production lines. "We have doubled the packing capacity in the warehouse, thereby gaining efficiency and precision. This is allowing us to better respond to the demand and avoid bottlenecks, while mitigating potential issues caused by labor shortages."

According to Miriam Cutillas, although Egypt's production is growing, "the country isn't currently perceived as competition, but rather as a complementary source, given the amount of orders that need to be met," she says. "In Spain, we are focusing more on late varieties, but Egypt is more committed to the early calendar, thus filling a gap in the consumer market."
The fact is that the increase in table grape consumption in 2025 has been record-breaking. "This year, if we had had more volumes in our warehouses during the off-season period, we would have sold them, without a doubt, given the speed with which orders were coming in. In terms of sales, these have been the best six months I can remember since I am in this sector, and this has helped make up for the constant increase in production costs, which has significantly reduced our profit margins," says Miriam Cutillas.
"The 2025 season not only represents a challenge in terms of production and management, but also an opportunity to continue transforming the sector with fresh, attractive, and flavorful products," she says.
For the start of the campaign, Uvasdoce is preparing a special event at its facilities, where all the work carried out and the season's novelties will be showcased for the first time. A meeting place for clients, partners, and the media.
