Nectarine, peach, and flat peach volumes are decreasing in the Spanish region of Extremadura, but the plum season is now entering its full production phase.

"The Black Splendor plum harvest started around three weeks ago, and now we are working with varieties such as the Crimson Glo and Black Diamond," says Justo Redondo, Manager of Nogal Fruits. "In the coming days, the product's supply will continue to increase, and this will determine the direction the season takes at a commercial level."
According to Redondo, the supply of the main early varieties is up by between 10 and 15% compared to last year, while lower volumes are expected for mid-season and late varieties.
Nonetheless, fruit prices have generally been slightly higher than last season. "The lower production in Turkey and other Mediterranean and Eastern countries is having a positive impact on our sales," says Redondo.
Nogal Fruits supplies both the domestic market and export destinations outside Europe. We specialize in container shipments, especially to countries in Central and South America, such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, etc." Next week, we will already be sending 50 containers a week of Spanish plums to the Brazilian market," says the manager.
